MO PGR – Medicine

Naeem Hospital, located in Lahore, is seeking a qualified and experienced Medical Officer or Postgraduate Resident (PGR) in Medicine to join its team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive medical care to patients across outpatient, emergency, and inpatient departments. This role involves assisting senior physicians, managing patient cases, and ensuring high standards of clinical practice within a dynamic hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Examine and assess patients, taking detailed medical histories to inform diagnosis and treatment.
- Diagnose and manage common medical conditions under appropriate supervision.
- Conduct regular patient rounds and monitor clinical progress closely.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in line with established medical guidelines.
- Manage medical emergencies, providing initial stabilization when necessary.
- Review laboratory investigations, imaging, and other diagnostic reports to guide patient care.
- Maintain accurate, timely medical records and documentation for all patients.
- Coordinate effectively with consultants, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patients’ responses to treatment and adjust management plans accordingly.
- Assist in clinical procedures and interventions as required.
- Ensure proper medication orders, follow-up care, and discharge planning are completed.
- Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols.
- Provide counseling and guidance to patients and their attendants to support treatment adherence.
- Perform additional clinical duties as assigned by the Consultant or Head of Department.

Required Qualifications
- MBBS degree from a recognized medical college or university.
- Valid PMDC registration/license.
- Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a hospital setting, including managing rotating shifts.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Postgraduate training or PGR status in Medicine is preferred.
- Minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience, especially in Medicine, Emergency, or Hospital Care.
- Candidates currently undergoing PGR training in Medicine are also encouraged to apply.

Shift and Duty Details
- Rotational duties according to the hospital schedule.
- Shifts may include mornings, evenings, nights, and emergency coverage.
