We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mobile App QA Engineer to join our mobile application development team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience testing Android mobile applications and a solid understanding of software quality assurance processes. This role involves ensuring that mobile apps are stable, reliable, user-friendly, and meet all functional and quality standards prior to release.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Android mobile applications across various devices and screen sizes to ensure compatibility and performance.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test cases, scenarios, and plans based on project requirements.
- Identify, document, and track bugs using the company’s project management or bug-tracking tools.
- Provide clear and detailed bug reports, including steps to reproduce, screenshots, videos, logs, and relevant information.
- Verify bug fixes and conduct regression testing following each release or major update.
- Evaluate application features, user flows, UI/UX, performance, and overall stability.
- Collaborate closely with developers, UI/UX designers, and project managers to resolve issues efficiently.
- Perform testing on multiple Android versions, devices, screen sizes, and hardware configurations.
- Assist in release testing to ensure applications meet quality standards before production deployment.
- Monitor application crashes and help identify potential causes and reproduction steps.
- Maintain accurate QA documentation, test reports, and testing records.
- Participate in daily development and QA meetings, providing updates on testing progress and application quality.
- Continuously improve testing processes and adhere to company QA standards.
Required Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in Mobile Application QA or Software Testing.
- Practical experience testing Android mobile applications.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles and QA methodologies.
- Experience with functional, regression, integration, usability, and compatibility testing.
- Good knowledge of mobile application workflows and user experience considerations.
- Proven ability to write detailed test cases, test scenarios, and bug reports.
- Familiarity with project and bug-tracking tools such as Jira, Trello, or Azure DevOps is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of API testing and REST APIs is a plus.
- Experience with QA/debugging tools like Postman, Android Studio Logcat, or Firebase Crashlytics is beneficial.
- Solid understanding of different Android devices, versions, screen sizes, and configurations.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a development and QA team.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- The position offers a monthly salary range of Rs50,000 to Rs65,000.
- Candidates located in or willing to relocate to Lahore Bahria Town are preferred, as the role requires in-person attendance.
