Key Responsibilities
- Perform conventional Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) examinations including Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiographic Testing (RT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT/MPI), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT/DPT), and Visual Testing (VT).
- Conduct Advanced Non-Destructive Testing (ANDT) examinations as per qualifications and project requirements.
- Carry out tubing inspections of heat exchangers, boilers, condensers, and other tubular equipment using ECT, IRIS, and RFT techniques.
- Perform LRUT/GWUT examinations on piping and related components.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain NDT/ANDT equipment and accessories.
- Analyze and interpret examination data, evaluating indications against applicable standards and acceptance criteria.
- Prepare accurate, comprehensive, and traceable inspection reports.
- Review examination data, calibration records, and inspection documentation.
- Interpret engineering drawings, weld maps, piping isometrics, and equipment drawings.
- Support inspection activities during fabrication, construction, maintenance, and shutdown/turnaround projects.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, QA/QC personnel, and project teams to ensure smooth inspection operations.
- Maintain proper identification and traceability of inspection results.
- Identify technical or equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
- Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, reporting hazards and incidents promptly.
- Travel to client and project locations domestically and internationally as required.
Required Qualifications
- ASNT/PCN/ISO Level-II certifications in UT, DPT, MPI, and RT.
- Valid ANDT certification or demonstrated competency in relevant advanced techniques.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Materials Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Training in conventional and advanced NDT techniques, including UT, DPT, MPI, RT, ECT, IRIS, NFT, LRUT, TOFD/PAUT, and MFL.
- Working knowledge of ASME Section V, Section VIII, B31.3/B31.8, API 510/570/653, ASTM standards, ISO 9712, and SNT-TC-1A.
- Minimum 3-5 years of industrial NDT/inspection experience with hands-on exposure.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings, weld maps, and piping isometrics.
- Strong practical skills in NDT/ANDT inspections, data analysis, and report writing.
- Proficient in MS Office and capable of working independently or within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong HSE awareness and commitment to safety discipline.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Certification and hands-on experience in tubing inspection and LRUT/GWUT preferred.
- Additional qualifications in PAUT, TOFD, and MFL are advantageous.
- Experience in oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, fertilizer, power, fabrication, offshore/onshore, or heavy industrial sectors.
- Shutdown and turnaround project experience is a plus.
