The .NET MAUI Developer role is a hybrid position based in Multan, Pakistan. The developer will design, develop, maintain, and optimize production-grade cross-platform applications using .NET MAUI, C#, and related .NET technologies. The applications will run across Windows and Android devices, including physical phones, tablets, and specialized POS hardware. Daily tasks involve implementing new features, troubleshooting complex production issues, optimizing performance, integrating APIs and backend services, managing local data persistence, and ensuring application reliability across multiple platforms.

This role demands hands-on experience with offline-first applications, synchronization, connectivity handling, application state management, and debugging on real devices. The developer will collaborate with product owners, designers, QA engineers, and other developers to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Responsibilities also include contributing to architectural decisions, conducting code reviews, creating technical documentation, mentoring junior developers, and enhancing engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain cross-platform applications using .NET MAUI and C#.
- Implement new features and optimize application performance on Windows and Android devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues on physical devices, including POS hardware.
- Integrate RESTful APIs, backend services, and third-party tools.
- Manage local data persistence and application state, ensuring offline-first functionality and data synchronization.
- Handle connectivity loss, retries, failed operations, and recovery scenarios.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical documentation.
- Mentor junior developers and promote best engineering practices.

Required Qualifications
- Strong foundation in C# programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in C#/.NET development.
- At least 2 years of hands-on production experience with .NET MAUI.
- Proven experience building and maintaining cross-platform mobile and desktop applications.
- Solid understanding of MVVM, SOLID principles, dependency injection, software architecture, and design patterns.
- Experience developing applications for Android and Windows platforms.
- Skilled in debugging and troubleshooting applications on physical Android devices, including phones, tablets, and specialized devices.
- Proficient with RESTful APIs, JSON, asynchronous programming, and third-party service integration.
- Experience with local databases, data persistence, and application state management.
- Practical knowledge of offline-first application development and data synchronization techniques.
- Ability to diagnose platform-specific issues related to UI, input, lifecycle, performance, permissions, and device compatibility.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills focused on root cause analysis.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work within cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, code reviews, sprint planning, and technical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing Restaurant POS or Retail POS applications.
- Knowledge of payment processing and payment terminal integration.
- Familiarity with PAX or similar Android POS devices.
- Experience with TCP/IP or socket-based communication.
- Understanding of offline transactions and Store-and-Forward (SAF) concepts.
- Integration experience with printers, barcode scanners, cash drawers, customer displays, or other hardware peripherals.
- Experience with ASP.NET Core or .NET backend services.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks.

This position is suited for senior engineers capable of independently managing production applications, understanding complex existing codebases, and resolving challenging real-device issues. Candidates with strong production experience in .NET MAUI, Android, offline-first applications, POS systems, or device integration will be prioritized. This role is not suitable for those with experience limited to basic UI development, tutorials, simple CRUD apps, or simulator-only Android development.
