Network and Hardware Engineer

Based in Lahore, we are seeking a skilled Network Support Engineer with a minimum of three years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, wireless networks, and server hardware. This role requires hands-on expertise in configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices, along with a proactive approach to monitoring network performance and resolving connectivity issues efficiently. The successful candidate will work closely with various teams to ensure seamless network operations and support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive network infrastructure encompassing LAN, WAN, wireless networks, servers, and related hardware components.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and other critical network hardware.
- Monitor network performance continuously and address outages or connectivity problems promptly.
- Manage network security through firewalls, access controls, VPNs, and network segmentation to safeguard organizational assets.
- Deploy and troubleshoot rack-mounted servers to ensure optimal hardware functionality.
- Assist the team with parts management and logistics-related issues to maintain operational efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with the support desk to fulfill documentation requirements and streamline support processes.
- Work in coordination with systems, security, and application teams to align network support with business needs.
- Respond to network incidents and participate actively in on-call rotations to provide timely support.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years’ experience as a Network Support Engineer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco routing and switching technologies.
- Experience working with security appliances and implementing network security measures.
- Skilled in troubleshooting network issues using tools such as Wireshark and SolarWinds.
- Good understanding of server hardware and its integration within network environments.
- Expertise in at least one operating system to support network and server operations.

Preferred Qualifications
- Valid CCNA certification is highly desirable.
- Experience with Cisco UCS and HPE hardware will be considered an advantage.
