The Institute of Environmental Sciences & Engineering is seeking a motivated IT support professional to join the Department of Environmental Engineering. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in facilitating the effective use of information technology within the School. This position involves supporting academic and administrative activities by ensuring the availability and reliability of essential IT services. The role requires hands-on involvement in maintaining a digital environment that supports teaching, learning, communication, and routine departmental operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day IT Help Desk and technical support to students, faculty, and staff.
- Assist in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer labs and workstations.
- Offer basic support for LAN, Wi-Fi, Internet connectivity, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computers, peripherals, printers, projectors, and other IT equipment.
- Provide technical support and coordination for LMS/CMS platforms, including managing user accounts, updating course content, performing basic configurations, and reporting issues to the relevant administrator.
- Support the updating and maintenance of the School’s website by uploading announcements, notices, and other approved content.
- Maintain an inventory of basic IT equipment and keep service and maintenance records up to date.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is essential.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in IT support or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and connectivity.
- Proficiency with operating systems, software applications, and computer troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with LMS/CMS platforms, website content management, and digital systems.
- Competence in hardware, software, and technical troubleshooting.
- Effective technical communication skills and ability to provide user support.
- Ability to manage workload, coordinate tasks, and prioritize effectively.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is desirable.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving IT requirements.

Terms and Conditions

Candidates may be disqualified for reasons including a third division in their academic record, a weak academic profile, or if currently pursuing the required degree. Employees of NUST with less than one year of service or without a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their Head of Institution will also be ineligible.

Candidates currently employed in government departments or armed forces must provide a NOC from their respective organizations. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
