Located in Zentallio, DHA Phase 8, Lahore, this full-time position seeks a Network Engineer with 2 to 5 years of experience to join the IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure across multiple branches. Additionally, the role involves providing first-level technical support for ERP-integrated POS systems to minimize connectivity issues and avoid disruptions to business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain branch networks, including LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, routers, and switches.
- Provide first-level technical support for ERP-integrated POS systems and related network connectivity.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, transaction failures, POS, and peripheral device issues remotely.
- Respond promptly to network alerts and incidents to ensure minimal disruption to sales and business operations.
- Diagnose and resolve network-related hardware and software issues.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and connectivity across multiple locations.
- Configure and troubleshoot network devices such as routers, switches, access points, and firewalls.
- Support VPN connectivity and remote access for branch users and systems.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for complex technical issues and escalations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, incidents, and troubleshooting activities.
- Follow network security and IT support best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of experience in network support, network administration, or IT helpdesk roles.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, LAN, Wi-Fi, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching protocols.
- Hands-on experience with remote troubleshooting and network monitoring tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues independently and respond effectively to urgent incidents.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Networking, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience working in retail, branch-based, or multi-site environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with supporting POS systems and ERP environments is a plus.
- Good understanding of network security principles and basic firewall concepts.
- CCNA certification is preferred.
