We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our IT team at our Gulberg 3, Lahore office. This full-time, onsite role requires a minimum of one year of hands-on experience, particularly with Fortinet firewalls. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructures, with specific expertise in Cisco devices and Fortinet FortiGate firewalls. Candidates based in Lahore are preferred. Compensation is competitive and negotiable, ranging from PKR 100,000 to 150,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Fortinet FortiGate firewalls, specifically the FortiGate 100F model.
- Implement and manage firewall policies, NAT, VPNs (both Site-to-Site and Remote Access), and security profiles.
- Monitor and optimize network security, performance, and availability to ensure smooth operations.
- Configure and manage Cisco managed switches, including VLANs, trunking, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), and port security.
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco Access Points and wireless networks.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to wireless connectivity, coverage, and performance.
- Deploy and maintain Captive Portal solutions for guest and internal network access.
- Manage network segmentation, routing, and switching configurations effectively.
- Monitor network traffic and respond promptly to security or performance incidents.
- Perform firmware upgrades, patching, and routine network maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity problems and coordinate with Internet Service Providers when necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network topology, configurations, and changes.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar networking role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking devices.
- Practical expertise in configuring Fortinet firewalls and managing security policies.
- Solid understanding of networking protocols and concepts including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, VPNs, and network monitoring tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity issues and work effectively with ISPs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform well under pressure.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail in maintaining documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Relevant professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Fortinet NSE are preferred.
