Network & Systems Engineer (MikroTik / VMware ESXi)

CloudEx Pakistan is looking for a skilled Network & Systems Engineer with hands-on experience in MikroTik and VMware to manage and support the company’s IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network devices and virtualization platforms to ensure high performance and reliability. This role demands a proactive approach to identifying and resolving network and server issues, while maintaining strong network security and operational efficiency across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot MikroTik routers, including RouterOS, firewall rules, NAT, queues, and VPN setups.
- Design, implement, and maintain LAN and VLAN configurations to optimize network segmentation and performance.
- Perform routing and switching tasks, including static and dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP, and manage network switches effectively.
- Administer physical and virtual servers, focusing on VMware ESXi virtualization environments.
- Monitor network performance and uptime using tools such as Zabbix, PRTG, The Dude, or similar platforms.
- Quickly diagnose and resolve network and server issues to minimize downtime and maintain continuous service availability.

Required Qualifications:
- Proven hands-on experience with MikroTik devices and RouterOS; certifications like MTCNA or MTCRE are advantageous.
- Practical experience managing VMware ESXi and server environments.
- Strong understanding of routing, switching, VLANs, and LAN design principles.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools for performance tracking and troubleshooting.
- CCNA certification or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in network and systems engineering.
