NETWORK TECH

We are seeking a skilled Network Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing network infrastructure. This includes working with structured cabling, LAN/WAN networks, switches, routers, patch panels, and various network equipment. The role requires hands-on experience in both copper and fiber-optic cabling, as well as a strong understanding of network hardware and connectivity issues.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, terminate, and test network cables such as Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A.
- Perform structured cabling installations for offices, commercial buildings, and data centers.
- Install and organize network racks, cabinets, patch panels, and cable management systems.
- Route cables through conduits, cable trays, ceilings, and floors efficiently and safely.
- Terminate cables using RJ45 connectors and keystone jacks with precision.
- Conduct cable testing, labeling, certification, and troubleshoot faults as needed.
- Install, configure, and maintain network switches, routers, access points, and other network devices.
- Troubleshoot LAN connectivity issues, including network ports, IP addressing, and physical layer problems.
- Install and test fiber-optic cables, including patch cords and fiber connections when required.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, including cable schedules, port mapping, and network diagrams.
- Assist with network upgrades, equipment relocation, and infrastructure expansion projects.
- Adhere to workplace safety standards and maintain proper cable organization at all times.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma or certification in IT, Networking, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Practical experience in network cabling and LAN infrastructure installation and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLANs, switches, routers, and basic network troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency in using cable testers, crimping tools, punch-down tools, and termination equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret network layouts and cabling diagrams accurately.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills combined with effective communication and teamwork abilities.

The position offers a monthly salary of Rs50,000.00 and requires the candidate to work on-site. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute to maintaining and expanding a robust network infrastructure.
