Odoo Developer

The Odoo Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and customizing Odoo modules to align with business and client needs. This full-time, on-site position based in Lahore involves implementing new features, integrating third-party systems, and optimizing existing workflows within the Odoo platform. The role requires writing clean, maintainable code and troubleshooting issues to ensure smooth operation of the system.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and customize Odoo modules according to project requirements.
- Implement new features and enhancements within the Odoo framework.
- Integrate third-party systems and APIs to extend Odoo functionality.
- Optimize existing workflows to improve efficiency and performance.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Odoo modules.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain version control and participate in code reviews.
- Ensure adherence to software development best practices, including testing and debugging.

Required Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Hands-on experience in back-end development, focusing on server-side logic, APIs, and database interactions.
- Proficiency in software development practices such as version control, testing, and debugging.
- Solid programming skills in at least one language commonly used with Odoo, such as Python.
- Applied understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) for creating modular, reusable, and scalable code.
- Experience with the Odoo framework, including custom modules, ORM, workflows, views, and security rules, is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, and basic Linux server operations.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical team members.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
