Odoo Functional Consultant

HST Technologies is an expanding Odoo consulting firm serving clients across the Middle East, Pakistan, and internationally. We specialize in delivering comprehensive Odoo ERP implementations, managing the entire project lifecycle from discovery and business requirement documentation to system configuration, custom development, data migration, user training, and post-go-live support. Our expertise covers various domains including POS, manufacturing, accounting, e-invoicing compliance (ZATCA Phase 2, FBR/PRA), and multi-company inventory management. Alongside consulting, we develop AI-powered tools and SaaS products, providing our team with exposure to innovative technologies.

Key Responsibilities
Lead discovery sessions and business process mapping workshops to gather, analyze, and document client requirements. Prepare detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and functional process flows for client approval. Configure Odoo modules such as Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Manufacturing (BoM/MRP), Accounting, POS, HR, and Project Management. Deliver customized Odoo demonstrations tailored to client workflows. Plan and execute master data migration, including data cleansing, template preparation, and validation. Collaborate with the technical team to translate functional specifications into development briefs for custom modules, reports, or workflow changes. Conduct end-user and administrator training to ensure smooth onboarding before go-live. Provide go-live cutover support and manage post-implementation helpdesk tickets across various priority levels. Prepare SOPs, configuration guides, and project handover documentation. Support pre-sales activities including solution scoping, effort estimation, and proposal development. Stay updated on Odoo releases, new features, and regional compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications
A minimum of 2 to 5+ years of hands-on experience with Odoo ERP (Community or Enterprise, version 14 or higher). Proven success in at least three full-cycle Odoo implementations, from discovery through go-live. Strong functional knowledge of core Odoo modules including Sales, Purchase, Inventory, and Accounting, plus expertise in at least one of Manufacturing, POS, or HR. Experience in gathering business requirements, writing BRDs, and mapping business processes. Ability to independently configure Odoo for standard functional needs without developer reliance. Solid understanding of accounting principles and chart of accounts configuration. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of leading workshops, delivering demos, and producing clear documentation. Analytical mindset with a structured approach to ERP implementation and problem-solving. Fluency in English (written and verbal) is essential; Arabic language skills are a strong advantage for Gulf-region clients. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, IT, Computer Science, or a related field. Odoo Functional Certification is highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with Odoo Studio or basic Python/XML customization for views and reports. Familiarity with regional tax and e-invoicing compliance such as ZATCA Phase 2 (Saudi Arabia), FBR/PRA (Pakistan), or UAE VAT. Exposure to Odoo Manufacturing workflows including Bills of Materials, MRP, Work Orders, and Kit assemblies. Knowledge of multi-company and inter-company transaction setups in Odoo. Understanding of API integrations, middleware connectors, or third-party app integrations. Experience supporting e-commerce or delivery-focused Odoo workflows. Prior consulting or client-facing project management experience. Familiarity with AI-assisted tools for data cleaning, documentation, or productivity enhancement.
