Odoo Functional

HST Technologies is seeking an experienced Odoo Functional Consultant to join their onsite team in Lahore, Pakistan. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the functional delivery of Odoo ERP solutions across diverse client engagements. Your primary focus will be translating business requirements into effective Odoo configurations, leading discovery workshops, and ensuring that all solutions are tailored to clients’ operational needs. This position offers the opportunity to work with clients from various industries and regions, gaining valuable exposure to different business processes and Odoo implementations.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery sessions and business process mapping workshops to gather, analyze, and document client requirements.
- Develop detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and functional process flows for client approval.
- Configure and implement Odoo modules including Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Manufacturing (BoM/MRP), Accounting, POS, HR, and Project Management.
- Prepare and present customized Odoo demonstrations aligned with client-specific workflows.
- Plan and execute master data migration strategies, including data cleansing, import template creation, and validation.
- Collaborate with technical teams to translate functional specifications into development briefs for custom modules, reports, or workflow changes.
- Conduct end-user and administrator training sessions to ensure smooth adoption before go-live.
- Provide go-live cutover support and manage post-implementation helpdesk tickets across various priority levels.
- Create SOPs, configuration guides, and project handover documentation for each engagement.
- Support pre-sales activities such as solution scoping, effort estimation, and proposal development.
- Stay updated on Odoo releases, new features, and regional compliance requirements like ZATCA and FBR/PRA.

Required Qualifications
- 2 to 5+ years of hands-on experience with Odoo ERP (Community or Enterprise, version 14 or higher).
- Proven experience completing at least three full-cycle Odoo implementations from discovery through go-live.
- Strong functional expertise in core Odoo modules: Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, plus at least one of Manufacturing, POS, or HR.
- Skilled in gathering business requirements, writing BRDs, and mapping business processes.
- Ability to configure Odoo independently for standard functional needs without relying on developers.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and chart of accounts configuration.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of leading workshops, delivering demos, and producing clear documentation.
- Analytical and methodical approach to ERP implementation and problem-solving.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal); Arabic language skills are a strong advantage for Gulf-region clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Odoo Functional Certification is highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with Odoo Studio or basic Python/XML customization for views and reports.
- Knowledge of regional tax and e-invoicing compliance such as ZATCA Phase 2 (Saudi Arabia), FBR/PRA (Pakistan), or UAE VAT.
- Familiarity with Odoo Manufacturing workflows including Bills of Materials, MRP, Work Orders, and Kit assemblies.
- Experience with multi-company and inter-company transaction setups in Odoo.
- Understanding of API integrations, middleware connectors, or third-party app integrations.
- Exposure to e-commerce or delivery-focused Odoo workflows.
- Prior consulting or client-facing project management experience.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted tools for data cleaning, documentation, or productivity enhancement.
