Odoo Functional

We are seeking an experienced Odoo Functional Consultant to join HST Technologies (HSxTech) onsite in Lahore, Pakistan. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the functional delivery of Odoo ERP solutions across diverse client engagements. Your primary focus will be to translate business requirements into effective Odoo configurations, lead discovery workshops, and ensure that solutions are tailored to the client’s operational needs. This position offers exposure to multiple industries and geographies, providing hands-on experience with a variety of business processes.

Key Responsibilities
Lead discovery sessions and business process mapping workshops to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements. Prepare detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and functional process flows for client approval. Configure Odoo modules including Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Manufacturing (BoM/MRP), Accounting, POS, HR, and Project Management. Deliver customized Odoo demonstrations aligned with client workflows. Plan and execute master data migration strategies, including data cleansing, import template preparation, and validation. Collaborate closely with the technical team to translate functional specifications into clear development briefs for custom modules, reports, or workflow changes. Conduct end-user and administrator training sessions to ensure client readiness before go-live. Provide go-live cutover support and manage post-implementation helpdesk tickets across various priority levels. Prepare SOPs, configuration guides, and project handover documentation. Support pre-sales activities such as solution scoping, effort estimation, and proposal development. Stay updated on Odoo releases, new features, and regional compliance requirements such as ZATCA and FBR/PRA.

Required Qualifications
A minimum of 2 to 5+ years of hands-on experience with Odoo ERP (Community or Enterprise, version 14 or above) is essential. Proven experience in at least three full-cycle Odoo implementations, from discovery through go-live, is required. Strong functional knowledge of core Odoo modules—Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting—and at least one of Manufacturing, POS, or HR is necessary. Experience in gathering business requirements, writing BRDs, and mapping business processes is expected. Ability to independently configure Odoo for standard functional needs without developer support is critical. A solid understanding of accounting principles and chart of accounts configuration is required. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential for leading workshops, delivering demos, and producing clear documentation. Candidates should demonstrate an analytical mindset with a structured approach to ERP implementation and problem-solving. Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is mandatory. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, IT, Computer Science, or a related field is required. Odoo Functional Certification is highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with Odoo Studio or basic Python/XML customization for views and reports is advantageous. Familiarity with regional tax and e-invoicing compliance such as ZATCA Phase 2 (Saudi Arabia), FBR/PRA (Pakistan), or UAE VAT is a plus. Exposure to Odoo Manufacturing workflows including Bills of Materials, MRP, Work Orders, and Kit assemblies is beneficial. Knowledge of multi-company and inter-company transaction setups, API integrations, middleware connectors, or third-party app integrations with Odoo is desirable. Experience supporting e-commerce or delivery-focused workflows and prior consulting or client-facing project management experience will be valued. Familiarity with AI-assisted tools for data cleaning, documentation, or productivity enhancement is a bonus.
