Odoo Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Odoo Specialist to take full ownership of our Odoo ERP system. This role involves setting up, configuring, and maintaining the system to ensure smooth operations across multiple retail locations. You will manage inventory flow, generate accurate financial reports, and serve as the primary point of contact for all Odoo-related queries within the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both accounting principles and the daily workings of a retail business.

Key Responsibilities

Odoo Management & Implementation
- Manage Odoo end-to-end, including setup, configuration, user access, and maintaining data accuracy.
- Lead the implementation and rollout of new modules such as Inventory, Purchase, Sales/POS, Accounting, and Manufacturing.
- Analyze current business processes, identify gaps, and develop practical workflows within Odoo.
- Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation for each module.
- Collaborate with external Odoo developers or partners for customizations, testing, and go-live support.
- Maintain clean master data including products, variants, pricing, vendors, customers, and chart of accounts.

Inventory & Restocking
- Monitor stock levels across all locations, including warehouse and multiple retail outlets.
- Establish reorder points and minimum stock levels to prevent stockouts of best-selling items.
- Manage stock transfers, purchase orders, and goods receipts within Odoo.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations, investigating any discrepancies.
- Provide reports on slow-moving inventory, stock aging, and valuation.

Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly financial statements such as profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow, and sales reports by location and channel.
- Manage month-end closing activities, bank reconciliations, and journal entries within Odoo.
- Track product and location-specific costs, margins, and inventory valuation.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting for senior leadership.
- Ensure records are accurate and audit-ready for tax filings.

Employee Support & Training
- Train staff across stores, warehouse, and head office on Odoo modules including POS, inventory, and purchasing.
- Act as the main contact for troubleshooting and resolving Odoo-related issues.
- Support onboarding of new hires and develop user-friendly guides.
- Quickly address system issues to minimize disruption to store operations.

Required Qualifications
- 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience with Odoo, including implementation, configuration, or support.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Practical experience with Odoo Inventory, Purchase, Sales/POS, and Accounting modules.
- Familiarity with managing multi-location or multi-warehouse inventory.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and reconciliations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation abilities.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to train non-technical users.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Odoo Manufacturing (MRP) and bills of materials.
- Knowledge of setting up multiple companies in Odoo or consolidating accounts.
- Familiarity with Shopify–Odoo integration.

Additional Qualifications
- ACCA qualified or ACCA finalist with 2–3 papers remaining.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field is advantageous.

Compensation
The monthly salary range for this position is Rs70,000 to Rs120,000.

Work Location
This is an in-person role requiring presence at the office and retail locations.
