OFC Splicer

We are seeking a skilled Fiber Optic Technician to join our team, specializing in outside plant (OSP) fiber deployment and splicing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing precise fusion splicing and managing fiber organization within closures and distribution frames. This role requires hands-on experience with testing equipment to ensure optimal link performance and fault detection, along with maintaining detailed documentation of all splicing activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute precision fusion splicing and organize fiber cables within closures and distribution frames to ensure reliable network connectivity.
- Conduct OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) and power meter testing to verify link performance and accurately locate faults or issues within the fiber network.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date splice logs, jointing records, and daily progress reports to support project tracking and quality assurance.

Required Qualifications

- Education: Matriculation, Intermediate, or Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Telecom, Electronics, or equivalent vocational training.
- Experience: Between 1 to 3+ years of hands-on experience in OSP fiber deployment and fusion splicing.
- Skills: Proficiency in operating fusion splicers and cleaving tools, with a strong understanding of fiber optic cable handling and splicing techniques.

Compensation and Work Location

The position offers a monthly salary ranging from Rs42,000 to Rs46,000. This is an in-person role requiring the candidate to work on-site to effectively manage fiber installations and testing.
