The role involves processing daily transactions efficiently while ensuring strict adherence to internal procedures and operational controls to manage risk effectively. The incumbent will be responsible for timely handling of customer requests and maintaining compliance with regulatory and group policies. This position requires close coordination with various stakeholders to support the Global Lending Service (GLS) operations and ensure smooth transaction processing within defined timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote awareness and understanding of the Group’s business strategy and model among relevant GLS teams.
- Stay updated on regulatory requirements and Group policies to ensure compliance.
- Establish internal standards and procedures aligned with developments in International Trade.
- Review and scrutinize Islamic finance documents related to disbursement and post-disbursement activities.
- Receive and accurately record all incoming requests handled by Global Lending Service.
- Process batch operations and other GLS-related transactions promptly, ensuring all documentation, approvals, and checks are in place.
- Communicate effectively with customers, regulators, and internal and external stakeholders regarding Global Lending matters.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to guarantee accurate and timely transaction processing.
- Resolve all outstanding items in GLS accounts promptly to avoid operational delays.
- Adhere strictly to the escalation matrix within the unit to manage issues efficiently.
- Monitor and report any suspicious or unusual activities in line with compliance requirements.
- Ensure timely closure of customer and stakeholder queries, complaints, and outstanding issues to prevent escalation.
- Comply with all internal and external policies and regulations, reporting any exceptions with appropriate justifications to senior management.
- Maintain proper storage and archiving of unit records according to bank policies, including adherence to key control standards and management of fire-resistant keys.
- Prepare, review, and distribute critical GLS reports, ensuring timely submission of reports such as Capital Finance, Memorandum Item (Past Due Figures), Fixed Industrial reports, Form III to RRU, and infrastructure reports to regulators on a quarterly and half-yearly basis.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of banking operations, particularly in Global Lending and International Trade.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance standards relevant to banking and Islamic finance.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with customers, regulators, and internal teams.
- Ability to analyze and scrutinize financial documents and transactions critically.
- Experience in risk management and operational controls within a banking environment.
- Competence in preparing and managing detailed reports within defined turnaround times.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
