Operations Assistant – Packing, Inventory & Dispatch

This role involves managing the accurate labeling, packing, and dispatch of customer orders while maintaining precise stock control. The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying incoming stock, reporting discrepancies, and ensuring all products and packaging materials are stored neatly. The position requires hands-on involvement in both indoor stock handling and outdoor dispatch duties, including courier drop-offs and stock deliveries. Attention to detail and reliability are essential to maintain an organized and efficient packing and storage environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Accurately label products and verify labels, quantities, and packaging before dispatch.
- Pick and pack customer orders according to specified order details.
- Prepare orders for dispatch and hand over parcels to distributors promptly.
- Physically count incoming stock and verify quantities against delivery documents prior to Goods Received Note (GRN) entry.
- Report any stock shortages, excess quantities, damaged items, or incorrect products to the supervisor immediately.
- Conduct daily stock counts and assist with closing stock reconciliation processes.
- Maintain accurate records of stock received, issued, packed, and dispatched to ensure inventory integrity.
- Arrange products and packaging materials neatly within designated storage areas to optimize space and accessibility.
- Perform outdoor dispatch duties, including courier drop-offs and stock deliveries or collections as assigned.
- Keep packing and storage areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum educational qualification of Matric pass; Intermediate level is preferred.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills, including reading, writing, and counting.
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and check quantities with accuracy.
- Punctual, reliable, and detail-oriented work ethic.
- Comfortable performing physical tasks related to packing, stock handling, and outdoor duties.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Previous experience in packing, warehousing, inventory management, or dispatch is advantageous.
