Operations & Booking Manager

Grand Palace Marquee, situated in Shahdara, Begum Kot, Lahore, is looking for a dedicated and proactive Operations & Booking Manager with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily venue operations, handling customer inquiries, converting leads into confirmed bookings, and ensuring the seamless execution of weddings and other events. Experience in banquet halls, wedding marquees, hotels, restaurants, or event management is essential, along with strong client-handling and coordination skills. This role offers a competitive basic salary along with performance-based incentives and commissions.

Key Responsibilities

Bookings & Sales:
Manage inquiries received through walk-ins, phone calls, WhatsApp, and social media platforms. Conduct venue tours for prospective clients, explaining available packages, menus, pricing, dates, and booking terms. Follow up consistently to convert inquiries into confirmed bookings and negotiate packages within approved pricing limits to achieve monthly targets. Maintain an updated booking calendar and accurate records of advance payments and outstanding balances. Coordinate with clients regarding event details such as guest counts and special arrangements to ensure satisfaction.

Event & Venue Operations:
Oversee the complete setup and preparation of the venue before each event, ensuring the hall, entrance, stage, lighting, furniture, and dining arrangements are ready on time. Collaborate closely with floor supervisors, waiters, decorators, electricians, kitchen staff, and other teams to maintain high standards. Monitor food service quality, event timing, and overall service throughout events. Address last-minute client requests, operational challenges, and customer complaints with professionalism. Conduct thorough pre-event and post-event inspections to guarantee quality and readiness.

Staff & Management Coordination:
Assign responsibilities and coordinate staff duties during events, ensuring smooth operations. Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, grooming, and performance to maintain professionalism. Facilitate effective communication between booking, operations, kitchen, and service teams. Report operational issues, customer feedback, and booking performance to management for continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications
Candidates should have 1 to 3 years of experience in wedding marquees, banquet halls, hotels, restaurants, or event management companies. Strong communication, negotiation, and customer-handling skills are essential. The ability to manage multiple bookings and events simultaneously is required, along with excellent coordination, problem-solving, and leadership abilities. Basic computer proficiency, including MS Excel and WhatsApp Business, is necessary. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays is expected. The candidate must be organized, responsible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced event environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
