We are seeking a senior technical and business leader to establish and lead our Oracle AI Data Platform (AIDP) service line from the ground up. This founding role offers a unique opportunity to define the practice in a rapidly growing market since AIDP’s launch in October 2025. You will be responsible for setting the strategic direction, building and mentoring a high-performing team, driving client engagements, and maintaining hands-on involvement to ensure architectural excellence and delivery quality.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Growth
Develop the vision, service offerings, positioning, and roadmap for the AIDP service line. This includes creating accelerators, reference architectures, and reusable intellectual property. Collaborate with sales and leadership to build a go-to-market plan that targets specific industries, defines solution packaging, and establishes pricing models. Maintain and grow relationships with Oracle through partner programs, alliances, co-selling initiatives, enablement, and certifications. Participate actively in pre-sales activities such as client workshops, solution design, proposal development, statements of work, and executive-level presentations.
Delivery and Architecture
Take ownership of architecture and delivery quality across all AIDP engagements, focusing on lakehouse design, data ingestion, transformation, governance, security, and AI/ML/GenAI enablement on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Lead migration and modernization efforts from platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, and on-premises Oracle environments to AIDP. Establish engineering standards, best practices, and review processes to ensure consistent delivery excellence. Serve as the escalation point for complex technical and delivery challenges.
People and Practice Building
Recruit, mentor, and grow a team of architects and data engineers while managing capacity and utilization planning. Design and implement training and certification programs to deepen in-house AIDP expertise. Take full ownership of the practice’s P&L, including revenue targets, margins, and key performance indicators.
Required Qualifications
- 10 to 15+ years of experience in data engineering and architecture, with at least 3 years in leadership roles managing teams or practices.
- Proven hands-on expertise with Oracle AI Data Platform or extensive OCI data and AI experience combined with proficiency in a major lakehouse platform such as Databricks, Snowflake, or BigQuery, with the ability to quickly ramp up on AIDP.
- Demonstrated success delivering large-scale enterprise data platform implementations, migrations, or modernization programs.
- Strong technical skills in Spark/PySpark, SQL, lakehouse data formats (Delta, Iceberg, Parquet), and cloud data architecture.
- Experience in pre-sales, solutioning, and client-facing consulting engagements.
- A track record of building or scaling service lines, practices, or delivery teams.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders at the CXO level.
Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle certifications such as OCI Architect or Data/AI certifications, along with an existing relationship with Oracle partner or alliance teams.
- Experience with GenAI or agentic data solutions, vector search, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) applied to enterprise data.
- Background in IT services or consulting firms.
- Familiarity with Oracle Fusion, Autonomous Database, GoldenGate, or OCI Data Integration tools.
This role offers the chance to lead a pioneering practice in a cutting-edge technology space, combining strategic leadership with deep technical expertise and client engagement.
