We are seeking an experienced Oracle APEX Developer to join our team for a full-time, onsite role based in Karachi. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise applications using Oracle APEX, SQL, and PL/SQL. This position requires strong technical expertise, the ability to integrate applications with external systems, and excellent communication skills to work directly with clients. The role involves a one-year engagement at the client’s location, demanding independent work and timely delivery of solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Oracle APEX applications, including interactive reports, grids, forms, dynamic actions, and automated workflows.
- Develop and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and cursors with effective exception handling.
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries using joins, analytical functions, and performance tuning.
- Apply Oracle database fundamentals such as schema design, indexing, constraints, and data integrity management.
- Integrate APEX applications with external systems via SOAP and REST web services, supporting data exchange with insurance, banking, ERP, and other enterprise systems.
- Implement APEX security features including authentication schemes, authorization controls, and session management.
- Customize application interfaces using Oracle APEX Universal Theme, CSS, JavaScript, and plugins as needed.
- Develop and maintain reports and document outputs in PDF and Excel formats using BI Publisher or Oracle APEX native printing capabilities.
- Troubleshoot and debug application issues to ensure stability and performance.
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical solutions, and deliver enhancements.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while meeting client deadlines and quality standards.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Oracle APEX application development and Oracle database programming.
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming, Oracle database design, schema management, and performance optimization.
- Practical experience integrating applications with external systems using SOAP and REST APIs.
- Knowledge of Oracle APEX security, authentication, authorization, and session management.
- Skills in UI customization using CSS, JavaScript, Universal Theme, and APEX plugins.
- Experience generating PDF and Excel reports using BI Publisher or native APEX reporting tools.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills for client-facing roles.
- Ability and willingness to work full-time onsite at the client’s location for one year.
- Capability to manage tasks independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in insurance, banking, or financial services sectors.
- Familiarity with Oracle Forms and Reports, especially within legacy enterprise environments.
- Exposure to Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Previous direct client-facing experience.
