We are seeking a Custom Software Engineering Lead to own the technical direction and architecture of custom software solutions. This role involves leading teams through design and delivery while setting development standards to ensure code quality, scalability, and performance aligned with business goals. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Generative AI, with a minimum of 7.5 years of relevant experience. This position requires hands-on mastery of Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or Oracle SOA Suite, driving scalable, customer-focused ERP integrations and mentoring development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of ERP technical solutions by translating functional requirements into executable designs using interfaces, APIs, and automation frameworks.
- Design, build, and optimize integrations leveraging Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Oracle SOA Suite, and ERP APIs to ensure seamless data flow across modules and external systems.
- Develop and manage ERP interfaces and File-Based Data Import (FBDI) processes for Order-to-Cash (O2C) and/or Procure-to-Pay (P2P) flows, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and compliance.
- Collaborate with functional engineers to validate business processes and define technical execution paths such as transaction automation, invoice imports, and credit memo handling.
- Create detailed technical design specifications from functional requirements, ensuring clarity and alignment with ERP standards.
- Lead technical demonstrations and proof-of-concepts for stakeholders, showcasing ERP integrations, automation, and performance improvements.
- Drive backlog refinement and Program Increment (PI) planning from a technical perspective, breaking down features into executable tasks with clear dependencies.
- Ensure system reliability and scalability by designing highly available ERP technical solutions and monitoring performance metrics.
- Mentor and guide engineers on ERP technical practices, integration patterns, and automation frameworks to foster technical excellence.
- Lead incident management and on-call rotations by diagnosing ERP technical issues, resolving integration failures, and ensuring timely communication.
- Conduct technical code reviews and domain-driven design sessions, applying modern modeling tools to strengthen ERP architecture.
- Champion automation and innovation by introducing AI-driven ERP enhancements such as intelligent invoice processing and agent-based workflows.
- Partner with Project Managers, Technical Program Managers, and Engineering Managers to prioritize technical deliverables across releases, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
- Promote best practices in ERP technical engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (B.Tech preferred).
- Minimum of 7.5 years of experience in application design, development, and delivery with a focus on Oracle ERP integrations.
- Proficiency in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and Oracle SOA Suite for enterprise-grade integrations.
- Strong skills in developing and managing Oracle Interfaces, REST/SOAP APIs, and integration patterns including batch (File-Based Data Import), real-time APIs, and event-driven integrations.
- Experience configuring and managing integration components such as adapters (ERP, DB, REST, SOAP, FTP/file), connections, integration flows, mappings, and schedules.
- Expertise in data transformations using XML, JSON, XSD, XSLT, and programming languages like Java and Spring Boot.
- Proven ability to monitor and troubleshoot complex integration issues, perform root cause analysis, and tune performance for OIC/SOA composites and flows.
- Strong collaboration skills to bridge business and technology by translating functional requirements into technical solutions.
- Exposure to AI-driven ERP enhancements and intelligent automation, with knowledge of emerging technologies for ERP workflows.
- Demonstrated Agile engineering leadership, including backlog refinement, sprint execution, and technical delivery across releases.
- Proven team leadership and mentorship experience, guiding technical design reviews and fostering excellence in ERP technical practices.
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills
- Understanding of Trading Community Architecture (TCA) for customer and supplier data management.
- Basic functional knowledge of Oracle Fusion Tax configurations and compliance.
- Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher for reporting and analytics.
- Familiarity with Oracle Fusion AI Studio, including design, configuration, validation, and deployment of AI agents.
- Knowledge of generative AI fundamentals such as prompt engineering, guardrails, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and semantic search for ERP-driven automation.
