Oracle EBS Consultant

Key Responsibilities

- Gather and analyze business requirements by conducting workshops and discussions with process owners, aligning these needs with standard Oracle EBS R12 functionalities.
- Perform gap analysis to identify discrepancies between business needs and Oracle capabilities, proposing solutions through standard features, configurations, or customizations such as Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, and Workflows (RICEW).
- Configure and implement Oracle EBS modules including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash Management (CM), Purchasing (PO), Inventory (INV), Order Management (OM), Bill of Materials (BOM), and Work in Progress (WIP) based on the agreed design specifications.
- Develop comprehensive functional documentation, including setup documents, functional design specifications, test scripts, and user training manuals.
- Collaborate closely with the technical team to clarify requirements for custom forms, reports, interfaces, conversions, and workflows during development phases.
- Plan and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles, prepare detailed test scenarios, and manage defect resolution through to final sign-off.
- Support data migration activities by defining conversion templates, validating imported data, and reconciling account balances.
- Configure multi-organization structures, including ledgers, legal entities, operating units, inventory organizations, responsibilities, profile options, and approval hierarchies.
- Deliver end-user training sessions and provide support during system go-live to ensure smooth adoption.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and service requests within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), escalating to Oracle Support when necessary.
- Assist with period-end close activities, including analysis of subledger accounting (SLA) and reconciliation challenges.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance business processes and optimize system utilization.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience as an Oracle EBS Consultant with hands-on expertise in Oracle EBS R12 modules, particularly GL, AP, AR, CM, PO, INV, OM, BOM, and WIP.
- Strong analytical skills to gather and interpret business requirements and translate them into functional solutions.
- Experience in conducting gap analysis and designing RICEW components (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Workflows).
- Ability to prepare detailed functional documentation and conduct user training.
- Familiarity with multi-org setup and configuration within Oracle EBS.
- Competence in managing UAT cycles and coordinating defect resolution.
- Experience supporting data migration and reconciliation processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with both business and technical teams.
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues and manage service requests efficiently.
