The OUX Infrastructure Engineer plays a critical role in managing the foundational infrastructure that supports the Octave Unified Experience (OUX) platform. This position involves designing, deploying, and maintaining Kubernetes-based infrastructure, the PostgreSQL database layer, Microsoft Fabric integration, and the Refold MCP service. These components collectively enable Platform Studio and all OUX shell applications to operate reliably at scale within multi-tenant customer environments. This role blends platform infrastructure expertise with a product engineering mindset, directly influencing the capabilities available to developers and customers on the platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and operate the Kubernetes infrastructure for the OUX platform, including cluster configuration, namespace strategy, resource management, autoscaling, and multi-tenancy isolation.
- Manage the PostgreSQL database layer, covering schema design, provisioning, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and migration strategies for ontology tools and Platform Studio backend services.
- Build and maintain Microsoft Fabric integration infrastructure, handling service principal configuration, workspace provisioning, lakehouse connectivity, and Fabric API authentication for data pipeline triggers.
- Deploy and operate Refold as the platform’s MCP tool configuration service, maintaining the Refold API, its integration with the agentic framework, and ensuring infrastructure reliability.
- Design and implement tenant provisioning infrastructure, automating onboarding of new customer tenants, namespace isolation, credential management, and enforcing per-tenant resource quotas.
- Own the infrastructure security posture, including network policies, secrets management via Azure Key Vault, certificate lifecycle management, and ingress/reverse proxy layers.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure-as-code (using Bicep, Terraform, or Helm) and application deployment across environments.
- Instrument the infrastructure with observability tools such as metrics, logs, distributed tracing, and cost-per-tenant dashboards to support commercial reporting.
- Collaborate with the OUX UI Engineer on security architecture, including AuthN/AuthZ integration (Ory, Azure AD), CORS policy enforcement, and penetration testing remediation.
Required Qualifications
- 6 to 8 years of experience in platform or infrastructure engineering with hands-on production Kubernetes experience, preferably with AKS.
- Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL, including schema design, performance tuning, high availability configuration, and operational management.
- Practical experience with Azure infrastructure services such as AKS, Azure Key Vault, Azure Container Registry, Azure Monitor, and Azure networking.
- Experience administering Microsoft Fabric, including workspace management, capacity configuration, service principal access, and API-based provisioning.
- Skilled in infrastructure-as-code tools like Bicep, Terraform, or Pulumi, and familiar with GitOps practices.
- Proven experience designing and operating multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure, including namespace isolation, resource quotas, and tenant lifecycle management.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes security primitives such as RBAC, network policies, pod security standards, and secrets management.
- Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Solid knowledge of OAuth2/OIDC and enterprise identity integration patterns.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with Refold or similar MCP service infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Ory components (Hydra, Kratos) for identity and access management.
- Background in industrial or capital project software infrastructure environments.
- Experience with FinOps tooling and cost-per-tenant attribution in cloud environments.
