Pakistan Solution Manager

This role involves conducting comprehensive site surveys, load analyses, resource assessments, and technical solution designs for photovoltaic (PV) and PV-plus-storage projects across Pakistan. The candidate will develop integrated system designs encompassing PV modules, energy storage, inverters, power distribution, and grid connections. These designs will be tailored to customer load profiles, site conditions, grid requirements, and investment goals to ensure optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform independent system sizing and configuration, including selecting PV modules, configuring inverters, designing battery capacity, mounting structures, and cable layouts. Prepare detailed lists of major equipment required for on-grid solutions.
- Provide technical support during pre-bid and pre-project phases for EPC projects. This includes preparing technical proposals, recommending equipment, estimating quantities and costs, supporting bids, and engaging in technical discussions with customers.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Pakistan’s local electricity facility connection rules, grid connection requirements, distribution system conditions, and approval processes. Coordinate effectively with local utilities, customers, design institutes, equipment suppliers, and construction teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Optimize system designs by considering Pakistan’s grid conditions, tariff policies, load characteristics, and specific project scenarios to enhance project economics, reliability, and constructability.
- Support site surveys, conduct technical briefings, coordinate construction activities, oversee commissioning, and facilitate grid connection acceptance.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, sales, procurement, engineering, and operations & maintenance teams to drive projects from initial solution development through to final delivery.
- Stay updated on developments in Pakistan’s PV, energy storage, and power markets, as well as competitor activities. Use this knowledge to build standardized, replicable project solutions and product configurations.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in designing and configuring PV and energy storage systems, including hands-on knowledge of system sizing, equipment selection, and technical solution development.
- Strong understanding of Pakistan’s electrical grid infrastructure, connection regulations, and approval processes.
- Ability to independently manage technical aspects of EPC projects, including proposal preparation, cost estimation, and customer engagement.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills to work effectively with multiple stakeholders such as utilities, suppliers, construction teams, and internal departments.
- Familiarity with local market conditions, tariff structures, and load profiles to optimize system design and project economics.
- Technical proficiency in preparing equipment lists, system configurations, and detailed design documentation.
