Location: Lahore
The Payroll Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting U.S. and Canada payroll operations. This includes running payroll processing jobs, conducting audits, and managing internal payroll processes and procedures. The role also involves handling payroll tax activities and performing account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance. The position supports The Children's Place payroll functions across both the U.S. and Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Run biweekly and off-cycle payroll processing jobs for U.S. and Canada payrolls. Perform various validation steps throughout the process to ensure accurate and successful payroll runs, including payroll completion, settlement, and post-payroll third-party interface jobs.
- Manage payroll input entries such as earnings, deductions, benefits, garnishments, and net pay processing, including stop payments, ACH returns, and replacement checks.
- Review and audit tax and wage variances identified by the tax vendor. Collaborate with account representatives to resolve discrepancies and determine if amended returns or payroll history corrections are necessary.
- Review all tax correspondence and take appropriate action, either responding directly or forwarding notices to the tax vendor for resolution.
- Complete multiple worksite reporting as required.
- Conduct ongoing audits to ensure accuracy in employee taxable wages and withholdings on quarterly returns and annual W-2 reporting. Process W-2 corrections (W-2cs) as needed.
- Assist the Payroll Manager in compiling information for internal and external payroll tax audits.
- Support Payroll Manager with payroll system configuration and upgrade testing.
- Prepare, review, and approve manual checks to ensure payment accuracy.
- Handle payroll history adjustments, gross-ups, file uploads, and related tasks.
- Collaborate with Payroll Management on year-end processes and special projects as required.
- Complete payroll tax adjustments related to restricted stock and non-qualified stock transactions.
- Conduct weekly audits of UKG/Kronos timecards.
- Respond to associate payroll inquiries through the HR ticketing system.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 1-3 years of experience working with in-house HR/Payroll software applications, preferably Workday.
- Experience in a high-volume, multi-state (U.S.) and multi-province (Canada) payroll environment with multiple FEIN tax structures.
- Solid understanding of all components involved in gross-to-net payroll processing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of UKG/Kronos systems.
- Familiarity with BSI e-Forms.
- Extensive knowledge of U.S. payroll tax compliance laws.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities efficiently.
