Key functions of the Role:
- Pre audit of day-to-day payment transactions which post in General Ledger
- Ensure classification of payment based on nature, use of appropriate
budget heads, completeness of supporting documents and appropriateness of accounting entries posted
- Advising the accounting entries on complex and difficult matters
- Ensure compliance with the established accounting policies based on
IFRSs, and relevant income and sales tax laws applicable in Pakistan, Islamabad capital territory and Punjab province
- Evaluation, Identification and suggesting controls for weaknesses in the systems
- Very close coordination with the finance and accounts department to fulfil responsibilities mentioned above
- Report writing for the semi-annual periods based on identified observations during pre-audit review
