IoT Based Smart and Secure Shopping System

In today's busy life, the trend of going to supermarkets for shopping has been increasing. The conventional method of picking the items, filling the trolley and wait for long queues for billing at the counter was time taking. To reduce this time, an IoT based smart shopping system based on keypad technology is implemented. The products are placed on to the shelves; Servo motor and turning spring technology is used to push the products using the keypad selection and then the selected product will reach the customer side through conveyor belt. The payable amount will be shown on the LCD. The log of bill and products will be updated on IoT server. By using this data manager will be able to update the stock list and cashier will collect the bill of purchased items. Having such a system gives two benefits. Firstly, it prevents customers from waiting in a long queue at the checkout. Secondly, by making the product shelves smart inventory management becomes easy and efficient. Implementation of such a smart shopping system and secure shopping system will ensure an enhanced shopping experience.
