Senior Management Officer (Electrical and Instrumentation)
Attock Oil Refinery's sponsored thermal power plant with a gross capacity of 165 MW has been designed to achieve maximum efficiency. The Plant configuration consists of 9 reciprocating 16.5 MW furnace oil fired engine generator sets and 9 heat recovery steam generators (HRSG) to provide steam for one 11.6 MW condensing steam turbine. The concept of 9 engines plus one steam turbine in a combined cycle mode, improves the reliability as well as the efficiency. I have worked and performing following tasks as per planned schedule:
1. Performed Wartsila's 18V46 diesel engine up to 72K maintenance including testing & inspection of alternator main winding, main rotor, Diodes assembly, Varistor, exciter rotor, exciter stator, PMG and excitation circuit of ABB alternators (AMG 1600).
2. Performed and know very well about Wartsila SPEMOS, ABB AVR (Unitrol 1000) Woodward 723 and Schneider electric Quantum series PLC.
3. PLC programming for automation of Wartsila's 18V46 Engine and ABB AMG 1600 Alternator.
4. Coordinated with ABB Finland in the CRIMP JOINT (replacing the joints after 72k hours) of alternators.
5. Coordinated with ABB Turkey in testing and troubleshooting the AMG1600 alternator including Insulation Resistance test, Voltage drop test, Diode testing, CT Testing, Poles testing and Ring Flux Test.
6. Coordinated and participated actively in 132KV Switchyard maintenance including Transformer oil test, DGA, BDV Test, Opening and Closing of CB & resistance b/w contacts, Thermography before & after, Isolation and restoration of Switchyard, Transformer Testing, Protection Testings including Freja300 Relay testing.
7. performed Testing, Calibrations & checking of all type Pressure, Level, Temperature, Speed, Limit Sensors Switches & Transmitters.
