Nayab Labs & Diagnostic Centre is seeking a skilled and professional Phlebotomist to join our Main Lab located in Blue Area, Islamabad. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing blood and other specimen collection procedures with accuracy and care, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can maintain strict adherence to laboratory protocols and provide excellent patient service in a busy diagnostic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform blood collection and other specimen collection procedures accurately and safely.
- Properly identify patients and verify test requirements before collection.
- Ensure correct labeling, handling, and transportation of specimens to maintain sample integrity.
- Follow infection control, safety, and laboratory protocols at all times.
- Provide professional and courteous assistance to patients, including children and elderly individuals.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper hygiene of the phlebotomy area to ensure a safe working environment.
- Coordinate effectively with laboratory staff regarding specimen-related requirements and any issues that arise.
- Handle patients with professionalism, demonstrating empathy and patience.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Phlebotomy, Medical Laboratory Technology, or a related field.
- Good knowledge of venipuncture and specimen collection techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Professional attitude with excellent patient-handling abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced diagnostic laboratory setting.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in phlebotomy or a similar healthcare role is preferred.
- Employment type is full-time, offering a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs35,000 to Rs44,000.
- Work location is in person at the Main Lab in Blue Area, Islamabad.
