Key Responsibilities
The PMO Lead will oversee end-to-end project management for assigned projects, including planning, delivery, client engagement, troubleshooting, operational management, and people leadership. This role involves managing a team of 20 to 40 full-time employees, including 2 to 5 project leads, and may be based offshore or overseas. The PMO Lead will collaborate closely with offshore Delivery and Program Managers to align delivery parameters such as bulge, offshore ratio, and effort under-run with the overall account plan.
Ensuring timely delivery to avoid penalties and adherence to project cash flow schedules is critical. The role requires driving increased client value and expanding wallet share by deploying domain experts, consultants, and architects. The PMO Lead will maintain records of project issues, manage escalations, and handle the Change Request Process effectively.
Risk identification, communication, and escalation are essential, along with ensuring infrastructure availability for team members, including physical, hardware, and software needs. People management responsibilities include goal setting, performance feedback, career development, and team engagement. The PMO Lead will also develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, manage conflicts with minimal supervision, and monitor key metrics such as customer satisfaction (C-SAT), acting on feedback accordingly.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold certifications such as PMCP or PMA and demonstrate a solid understanding of relevant technologies and core project management techniques. Proficiency in estimation methods, review mechanisms, and cost management is required. The candidate should be well-versed in quality management principles, including quality planning, inspection, and control.
A strong grasp of customer engagement models, financial parameters, and delivery and operational metrics is essential. The role demands experience managing multiple project modules as a project lead, applying tools for effort, cost, schedule, and quality management, and handling teams effectively. Experience with proposal development and process documentation across multiple levels (L1 to L4) is expected.
Candidates should have a minimum of six years of relevant experience, including at least 18 months in a leadership role. Experience working with Oracle Fusion Applications – HCM is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications and Attributes
Preferred candidates will have business domain knowledge and an understanding of the industry and competitive landscape. Prior experience managing projects of considerable size and complexity as a Project Manager or Lead is advantageous.
