The Polymer Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Sialkot. This role involves polymer material selection, product development support, process optimization, and quality improvement. The Polymer Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring that molded products meet engineering and quality standards through effective process control and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate plastic materials for suitability in product applications.
- Support new product development and mold trials to establish molding parameters.
- Develop and validate molding process recipes and setup sheets.
- Optimize cycle times to improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Troubleshoot molding defects and conduct root cause analysis.
- Support complaint investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, process specifications, and other technical documentation.
- Analyze process data and support validation activities to ensure process stability.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Polymer Engineering with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of polymers, plastic materials, and injection molding processes.
- Practical experience in material selection, mold trials, process parameter development, and troubleshooting molding defects.
- Proven skills in process optimization, cycle-time improvement, validation, and root cause analysis.
- Understanding of molding defects, quality parameters, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Ability to develop SOPs, work instructions, setup sheets, process specifications, and technical reports.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS), CAPA/CAR processes, complaint handling, and documentation control.
- Experience working with ERP systems and manufacturing data analysis.
- Background in medical devices, healthcare, plastics, or precision manufacturing is highly desirable.
