Power BI Developer

We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to join our team in KSA on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in developing and supporting Power BI solutions within large-scale enterprise environments, particularly with Power BI Report Server (PBIRS). This role demands strong skills in building, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise-level dashboards and reports, with the ability to independently manage end-to-end report development and support activities. Expertise in DAX, data modeling, report optimization, and enterprise reporting best practices is essential to deliver scalable and business-driven analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports using advanced features such as bookmarks, drill-throughs, tooltips, conditional formatting, and dynamic navigation.
- Create complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and business calculations to meet reporting and analytical needs.
- Use Power Query (M language) for data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and integration.
- Develop and manage data models including star schemas, fact and dimension tables, relationships, KPIs, and business logic.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and reporting.
- Connect and integrate Power BI reports with enterprise databases, data warehouses, and other data sources.
- Create and maintain JSON theme files, reusable report templates, and visualization standards.
- Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) to manage report access, permissions, and secure data connectivity.
- Optimize report performance using tools like DAX Studio and Performance Analyzer, applying best practices for semantic modeling.
- Publish, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot reports within Power BI Report Server (PBIRS).
- Conduct data reconciliation, functional testing, regression testing, and provide production support.
- Troubleshoot report issues to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and performance.
- Support report migration, source connection updates, and modernization initiatives while preserving existing functionality.
- Maintain technical documentation including KPIs, calculations, data mappings, dependencies, and report configurations.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in Power BI development and working with Power BI Report Server (PBIRS).
- Strong knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query (M language).
- Solid understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
- Proficiency in SQL query development for data extraction and validation.
- Expertise in dashboard and report design with a focus on user experience and business requirements.
- Experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and managing secure data access.
- Skills in report performance optimization and data validation/testing.
- Familiarity with enterprise reporting and analytics development best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Tabular Editor and DAX Studio tools.
- Exposure to enterprise data warehouses and SAP data sources.
- Knowledge of modern data platforms and lakehouse architectures.
- Involvement in BI report migration and modernization projects.
- Ability to develop JSON themes and standardize reports.
- Understanding of data governance and reporting best practices.
