Power BI Developer

We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to join our team in KSA on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in developing and supporting Power BI solutions within large-scale enterprise environments, particularly with Power BI Report Server (PBIRS). This role involves independently managing the full lifecycle of report development and support, focusing on building, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise dashboards and reports. Strong skills in Power BI development, DAX, data modeling, report optimization, and enterprise reporting best practices are essential to deliver scalable, business-driven analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports, incorporating advanced features such as bookmarks, drill-throughs, tooltips, conditional formatting, and dynamic navigation.
- Create complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and business calculations to meet reporting and analytical needs.
- Utilize Power Query (M language) for data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and integration tasks.
- Develop and manage data models including star schemas, fact and dimension tables, relationships, KPIs, and business logic.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and reporting purposes.
- Connect and integrate Power BI reports with enterprise databases, data warehouses, and other supported data sources.
- Create and maintain JSON theme files, reusable report templates, and visualization standards to ensure consistency.
- Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) to manage report access, permissions, and secure data connectivity.
- Optimize report performance using tools like DAX Studio and Performance Analyzer, applying best practices in semantic modeling.
- Publish, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot reports within Power BI Report Server (PBIRS).
- Perform data reconciliation, functional testing, regression testing, and provide production support.
- Troubleshoot report issues to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and performance.
- Support report migration, source connection updates, and modernization initiatives while preserving existing functionality.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation including KPIs, calculations, data mappings, dependencies, and report configurations.

Required Qualifications

- Proven expertise in Power BI Development and Power BI Report Server (PBIRS).
- Strong knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query (M language).
- Solid understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
- Proficiency in SQL query development for data extraction and reporting.
- Experience designing dashboards and reports with a focus on usability and business requirements.
- Ability to implement and manage Row-Level Security (RLS) for secure data access.
- Skills in report performance optimization and troubleshooting.
- Experience in data validation, testing, and enterprise reporting and analytics development.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills

- Familiarity with Tabular Editor and DAX Studio for advanced model and performance tuning.
- Experience working with enterprise data warehouses and SAP data sources.
- Knowledge of modern data platforms and lakehouse architectures.
- Participation in BI report migration and modernization projects.
- Expertise in JSON theme development and report standardization.
- Understanding of data governance and reporting best practices.
