Power BI

We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer / BI Analyst to join our Information Technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive Power BI dashboards and reports by integrating data from SAP BI and SQL databases. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate with various business departments to deliver accurate and insightful reporting that supports decision-making across sales, inventory, procurement, finance, and operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations tailored to business needs.
- Extract, transform, and analyze data from SAP BI and SQL databases to ensure accurate reporting.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries to retrieve precise business data efficiently.
- Integrate data from SAP systems and other business applications into Power BI environments.
- Monitor data accuracy, consistency, and overall report performance to maintain high-quality outputs.
- Prepare comprehensive reports covering sales, inventory, procurement, finance, and operational performance metrics.
- Automate routine reporting processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Collaborate closely with business units to understand reporting requirements and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies, refresh failures, and dashboard performance issues promptly.
- Maintain data models, including DAX calculations, Power Query transformations, and thorough report documentation.
- Ensure data security by managing appropriate access permissions for reports and dashboards.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience working with Power BI, SAP BI, and SQL.
- Strong expertise in Power BI, including dashboard development, DAX, Power Query, data modeling, and report publishing.
- Practical experience with SAP Business Intelligence tools such as SAP BW or SAP HANA for data extraction and reporting.
- Proficiency in SQL, including writing queries with joins, subqueries, aggregations, and query optimization techniques.
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on data validation, KPI reporting, and problem-solving.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, lookup functions, and data analysis capabilities.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with multiple departments and understand diverse business reporting needs.
