We are seeking a skilled Pre-Sales Engineer specializing in Fire & Safety Systems to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the sales and projects departments to develop technical proposals, prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and design compliant fire safety systems for commercial and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in fire alarm and firefighting system estimation and tendering, ensuring all designs meet relevant standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed BOQs, cost estimates, and technical proposals for fire safety projects.
- Design and review fire alarm systems, including both addressable and conventional types.
- Design and review firefighting systems such as hydrant, sprinkler, and FM200/clean agent systems.
- Analyze tender documents, drawings, and technical specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure all designs and proposals comply with NFPA standards and Civil Defense regulations.
- Coordinate with suppliers to obtain pricing and technical submittals necessary for project bids.
- Support the sales team in bid preparation and client submissions, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
- Conduct site visits as required to assess project conditions and support technical evaluations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the fire & safety or MEP industry.
- Strong expertise in fire alarm system design, including loop calculations and device selection.
- Good knowledge of firefighting systems and their components.
- Familiarity with NFPA codes and standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for system design and drafting.
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, particularly for BOQ preparation and cost analysis.
