Our client, a reputable international freight forwarding and logistics company based in Karachi with a comprehensive global network across air, sea, and land operations, is seeking a Pricing Executive. This full-time, permanent role is based onsite at Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi. The position involves managing freight pricing, rate procurement, and quotation processes independently to support the company’s international operations. The working hours are from 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM, Monday through Friday. Compensation is competitive and offered up to PKR 250,000 per month, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily freight pricing inquiries and quotation requests from clients and internal teams efficiently.
- Source and compare competitive rates from shipping lines, carriers, NVOCCs, overseas agents, and logistics vendors.
- Handle Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and prepare accurate, timely commercial quotations.
- Negotiate rates and commercial terms with carriers, vendors, and overseas network partners to secure favorable agreements.
- Coordinate with international network partners regarding rates, routing, and service requirements.
- Monitor market rates regularly to identify competitive pricing opportunities.
- Work on costing, margins, and ensure overall quotation competitiveness.
- Maintain and update pricing records, rate sheets, and vendor information systematically.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Business Development, and Operations teams to align pricing requirements.
- Follow up on pending rates and quotations to ensure timely responses and avoid delays.
- Support pricing needs related to the US market and international shipments.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with carriers, vendors, and overseas logistics partners to strengthen the supply chain network.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in freight forwarding pricing or a related commercial role.
- Strong experience managing freight rate inquiries, quotations, RFQs, and rate procurement processes.
- Proven ability to coordinate directly with shipping lines, carriers, NVOCCs, overseas agents, and logistics vendors.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing competitive rates and commercial terms.
- Ability to analyze market rates, compare options, and work effectively with costing and margins.
- Experience handling international pricing requirements and coordinating with overseas networks.
- Good understanding of the US freight market and international shipping environment is preferred.
- Strong communication, follow-up, and coordination skills to manage multiple pricing requests efficiently.
- Proficiency in English and MS Excel is essential.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet quotation deadlines consistently.
