Principal Java Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Engineer with over 10 years of professional software development expertise to join our team in Karachi. This role focuses on building intelligent, AI-powered backend solutions using Java and Spring Boot. The successful candidate will work on-site and collaborate closely with our US-based offshore technical team in a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) capacity. This position offers the opportunity to solve complex business challenges by designing scalable applications that integrate advanced AI and large language model (LLM) capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Collaborate directly with US-based technical teams to deliver impactful, high-quality solutions.
- Translate complex business requirements into robust and maintainable technical implementations.
- Integrate AI and LLM functionalities into enterprise-grade applications to enhance product intelligence.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, driving solutions from initial concept through to deployment.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand real-world challenges and build solutions that provide measurable business value.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in software engineering.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with integrating AI and large language models (LLMs) into software applications.
- Solid understanding of system architecture, database management, and cloud technologies.
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with offshore teams and engaging with various stakeholders.
