Principal Software Engineer

AdalFi is a pioneering fintech company transforming digital lending in Pakistan by developing intelligent credit infrastructure for banks. Our solutions enable real-time, automated lending decisions powered by advanced data science, machine learning, and AI technologies. We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer with extensive experience in the .NET framework and a strong background in building fintech products. This role involves designing scalable systems, tackling complex engineering challenges, and leading a high-performing development team. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, proactive, and an effective communicator. Experience in a product-focused environment is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture, development, and deployment of scalable fintech applications using the .NET technology stack.
- Manage the entire development lifecycle, from gathering requirements to implementation and delivery.
- Address complex business problems by writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product management, design, and DevOps.
- Mentor junior engineers and advocate for best practices in code quality, performance, and security.
- Drive continuous improvement by enhancing systems, tools, and processes to achieve engineering excellence.
- Participate in architectural reviews and contribute to long-term technical planning.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 4 to 7 years of hands-on software development experience, with significant expertise in .NET technologies such as C#, ASP.NET Core, and Entity Framework.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean architecture principles.
- Proven track record of working on or leading fintech product development or platforms.
- Experience with SQL Server, RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming technical challenges.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities, capable of influencing and aligning teams effectively.
