Key Responsibilities
The Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Designer will be based on-site at the Wah Cantt office, working on a contract or project basis. This role requires close collaboration with electronics and engineering teams to design PCB layouts from schematics. Responsibilities include selecting appropriate components and ensuring designs comply with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing constraints. The designer will review design requirements, perform design rule checks, optimize signal integrity, and prepare documentation and fabrication files for production. Supporting prototype testing, troubleshooting design issues, and iterating on designs based on feedback from engineers and clients are also key aspects of the role. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects with clear timelines are essential for success.
Required Qualifications
- Strong foundation in circuit design and analog design, with proven experience translating schematics into manufacturable PCB layouts.
- Solid understanding of electronics and electrical engineering principles, including component behavior, power distribution, and signal integrity.
- Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) design concepts, particularly layout practices for high-frequency circuits and noise reduction techniques.
- Proficiency in PCB design software such as Altium Designer, KiCad, Eagle, or OrCAD, along with knowledge of standard fabrication processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, datasheets, and industry standards including IPC and EMC guidelines.
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a lab or engineering environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, organizational ability, and attention to detail. Prior experience in contract or client-based engineering work is advantageous.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative projects within a dynamic and supportive team environment, working on cutting-edge electronic design challenges for international clients.
