We are seeking a skilled PCB Design Engineer with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and perform well under pressure. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects related to electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) for controlling EV charging stations, initially focusing on AC and later expanding to DC systems.
- Work on multilayer PCB and circuit design, ensuring high-quality layouts suitable for high-speed applications while maintaining signal integrity and minimizing propagation delay.
- Conduct research and evaluate alternative components to optimize the Bill of Materials (BOM) in terms of cost and availability.
- Adapt PCB and circuit designs to accommodate alternative components and microcontrollers (MCs) as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with firmware and embedded software developers to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components.
- Perform electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and safety pre-evaluations, adjusting PCB designs based on measurement results to meet compliance standards.
- Prepare detailed documentation for PCB assembly and fabrication processes.
- Analyze and resolve design-related issues promptly to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience as a PCB Design Engineer.
- Strong understanding of electronic components and their applications in PCB design.
- Proficiency in PCB design software such as Eagle, KiCAD, and Altium.
- Solid knowledge of RF and analog layout principles, including a clear understanding of PCB layer stack-up.
- Familiarity with standard PCB design rules and best practices.
- Ability to maintain and create component libraries efficiently.
- Proficient in managing and optimizing Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Demonstrated strong learning drive and adaptability to new tools and technologies.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Capability to select and utilize the appropriate design tools at the right stages of the development process.
