The Procurement Assistant MEP position is a full-time, on-site role based in Islamabad. This role is integral to the MEP procurement function, focusing on preparing and processing purchase orders, obtaining quotations, and liaising with suppliers for materials and services related to elevators, escalators, and associated electrical and mechanical works. The incumbent will maintain procurement records, monitor deliveries, and ensure that all materials comply with project specifications and timelines. Close collaboration with project, engineering, and finance teams is essential to align purchasing activities with budgetary, quality, and scheduling requirements. The role also involves conducting basic market research, price comparisons, and assisting in vendor evaluations to promote efficient and cost-effective procurement operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in procuring materials, equipment, and services for MEP projects.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotations, perform price comparisons, and ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
- Support the procurement team in cost control and vendor management efforts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and project-specific requirements.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working effectively under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience in procurement is preferred.
- Knowledge of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) systems and related materials is an advantage.
