Procurement Manager

Zesora is seeking a dedicated Procurement Manager to oversee the purchasing functions for two distinct operations: the Khanaspur construction project and a boutique hotel located in Nathia Gali. This full-time, permanent, on-site role based in Islamabad requires a proactive professional who can manage procurement activities efficiently across both construction and hospitality sectors, ensuring timely delivery, cost control, and vendor management.

Key Responsibilities

Construction Procurement – Khanaspur:
Manage the procurement of all construction-related materials, equipment, and subcontracted services for the Khanaspur project. This includes sourcing steel, cement, aggregates, timber, finishes, electrical and plumbing supplies, fixtures, and site machinery. Collaborate closely with the Project Director, Quantity Surveyor, and site inspectors to forecast material requirements based on the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and site schedule. Responsibilities include raising enquiries, comparing supplier rates, placing orders, and ensuring materials arrive ahead of scheduled activities. Monitor lead times for imported and specialized items to avoid stock shortages or excess inventory.

Hotel Purchasing – Nathia Gali:
Oversee procurement for the boutique hotel’s food and beverage supplies, housekeeping and guest amenities, linen, kitchen consumables, maintenance spares, and fuel. Maintain par levels in coordination with hotel management, schedule recurring orders, and verify the quality and freshness of received goods.

Vendor Development and Contracts:
Build and maintain an approved supplier base across Nathia Gali, Abbottabad, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, and Lahore. Pre-qualify vendors and subcontractors, negotiate rate contracts and annual supply agreements, establish credit and delivery terms, and work to reduce reliance on single-source suppliers for critical items.

Cost Control and Negotiation:
Prepare comparative statements for significant purchases, negotiate pricing, freight, and payment terms. Collaborate with the technical team to develop value-engineering options and promptly escalate any procurement activities that risk exceeding budget limits.

Stores, Inventory, and Logistics:
Coordinate with site and hotel store personnel on receipt, inspection, goods receipt notes (GRNs), storage, and issuance of materials. Monitor reorder points and consumption rates, control wastage and pilferage, and arrange transportation to both locations, including during adverse weather conditions.

Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain a thorough and organized paper trail for all purchases, including requisitions, enquiries, quotations, comparative statements, purchase orders, challans, GRNs, and invoices. Ensure adherence to the approval matrix for every transaction. Work closely with the Finance department on payment processing and reconciliations, and provide regular reports on spending and vendor performance to management.

Required Qualifications

- 5 to 7 years of experience in procurement, with strong expertise in construction materials purchasing.
- Proven ability to manage complex procurement processes and vendor relationships effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in hospitality or food and beverage purchasing is highly desirable, adding value to the dual operational focus of this role.
