Procurement Manager

HNS Global is partnering with a well-established UAE-based group with over 55 years of market presence, specializing in Signage, Wayfinding, Outdoor Media, and LED & Digital Signage. As part of the client’s strategic business turnaround, restructuring, and global expansion, they are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to be based in Clifton, Karachi. This leadership role involves building and enhancing international procurement and supplier development functions by identifying, qualifying, and managing competitive manufacturers and suppliers across global markets.

Key Responsibilities

- Supplier Network & Database: Develop and maintain a comprehensive international supplier and manufacturer database, including details on product range, pricing, quality, capacity, credit terms, lead times, and certifications.

- Competitive Sourcing: Secure and document at least three competitive quotations for major purchases, supported by thorough technical and commercial comparisons.

- Cost Savings & Value Engineering: Achieve measurable procurement savings and implement value engineering initiatives without compromising specifications, quality, warranty, or delivery schedules.

- Planning & Execution: Prepare procurement plans aligned with project, production, and installation timelines to ensure timely availability of materials.

- End-to-End Control: Manage the entire procurement process from requisition and purchase order approval through production, inspection, shipment, customs clearance, and final delivery.

- Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate manufacturer partnerships, distributorships, and explore new product opportunities for regional platforms across UAE, GCC, MENA, and international markets.

- Reporting: Provide daily priority updates and weekly procurement reports covering pending approvals, purchases, savings, supplier performance, and risk management.

Required Qualifications

- Experience: 8 to 10+ years of international procurement experience in Signage, LED, aluminium, steel, electrical products, glass, printing, architectural products, or project materials.

- Global Supplier Network: Established networks across China, Thailand, Turkey, Pakistan, UAE, and other competitive international sourcing markets.

- Commercial Expertise: Proven ability to handle RFQs, technical and commercial comparisons, negotiations, contracts, shipping, customs, Incoterms, and international trade documentation.

- Technical Understanding: Skilled in interpreting drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), specifications, and samples into precise procurement requirements.

- Financial Acumen: Strong knowledge of Letters of Credit (LC), bank guarantees, credit terms, foreign currencies, duties, freight, insurance, and landed cost calculations.

- Systems & Negotiation: Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, supplier databases, cost analysis, and ethical, high-impact commercial negotiation.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Experience specifically within Signage and Outdoor Media sectors is essential, with a minimum of 8 years required.

- The role is based on-site in Clifton, Karachi, requiring in-person attendance.

- The monthly salary offered for this position is Rs100,000.
