Procurement officer

Sarwar Shahida Memorial Cardiac Center & Research Institute, a project under the Sarwar Shahida Research Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences Trust, is looking to hire a motivated and qualified Procurement Officer. This role is based in Gujranwala, Pakistan, and involves managing the procurement process for medical equipment, surgical supplies, medicines, stationery, and other essential hospital materials. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of supplies to support the hospital’s operations and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Source and evaluate supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
- Prepare comparative statements to facilitate informed procurement decisions.
- Ensure compliance with approved procurement policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with various departments to understand their supply needs and timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier performance.
- Assist in vendor management, including selection, evaluation, and relationship building.
- Support the procurement team in administrative tasks and reporting as required.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
- Proven experience in hospital or medical procurement is essential.
- Strong ability to obtain and assess supplier quotations effectively.
- Familiarity with preparing comparative statements and adhering to procurement compliance standards.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Experience working within a healthcare or hospital environment will be considered an advantage.
- The position offers a monthly salary ranging from Rs40,000 to Rs50,000.
- This is an in-person role based at the Gujranwala facility.
