We are looking for a detail-oriented Bid Estimator to join our U.S. Government Tenders & Procurement team. This role involves reviewing U.S. government tenders, preparing and analyzing bids, developing accurate cost estimates, managing proposal requests, and coordinating procurement requirements. The successful candidate will review tender documents, communicate effectively with vendors and clients, and support the U.S. team with procurement and estimating activities as needed. Strong English communication skills and exceptional attention to detail are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage U.S. government construction bids and procurement opportunities, including federal solicitations such as RFQs, RFPs, and IFBs.
- Analyze government solicitations, scopes, specifications, drawings, and bidding requirements to fully understand project and procurement needs.
- Ensure all quotations, proposals, and procurement documentation comply with solicitation requirements, specifications, and submission guidelines.
- Oversee procurement activities for U.S.-based construction projects, including materials, equipment, subcontractor services, and project requirements.
- Prepare, review, and manage Requests for Quotations (RFQs), proposal requests, bid invitations, and procurement inquiries from U.S. clients and project teams.
- Identify, communicate, and coordinate with U.S.-based suppliers, vendors, subcontractors, and service providers.
- Source qualified U.S.-based vendors and subcontractors for government and commercial construction projects.
- Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations, scopes of work, pricing, lead times, and terms to support competitive procurement decisions.
- Conduct cost and pricing analysis to identify competitive rates, cost-saving opportunities, and potential procurement risks.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, availability, and other commercial terms with vendors and subcontractors as necessary.
- Coordinate purchase requirements, order placements, confirmations, delivery schedules, and follow-ups with suppliers and vendors.
- Maintain consistent follow-up with vendors and subcontractors to obtain quotations, confirm availability, and ensure timely responses.
- Keep procurement trackers updated, covering RFQs, quotations, bids, purchase requirements, vendor responses, pending items, and project status.
- Collaborate with U.S. project managers, estimators, operations teams, and other departments to ensure procurement aligns with project timelines.
- Manage email communications promptly and professionally with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Engage with American clients to ensure clear and accurate communication regarding project requirements, pricing, specifications, and procurement status.
- Support U.S. staff by undertaking various procurement and construction-related tasks as required.
- Assist and guide junior procurement team members, ensuring procurement processes are followed accurately.
- Monitor assigned activities and track progress to ensure timely completion of procurement requirements.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in procurement, handling RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
- Mastery of spoken, written, and reading English with no errors.
- Exceptional writing skills with the ability to produce clear, persuasive, and concise proposals under deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret RFP requirements and synthesize information into compelling proposals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to negotiate and persuade clients and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple proposals simultaneously.
- Proficient with digital tools such as PlanSwift or e-TakeOff, and quick to learn new technologies.
- Reliable transportation and full availability for the night shift (6 PM to 3 AM PST).
- No additional employment or commitments permitted to ensure unwavering focus.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Experience in strategic planning and execution of complex sales strategies is a plus.
- Salary range: $55,000 to $75,000 annually, to be decided during the interview process, plus fuel allowance.
- Annual and bi-annual salary increments based on performance.
- Performance-based bonuses.
- Paid yearly leave of 10 days with leave encashment available.
- Observance of U.S. and Pakistan federal and religious holidays.
- Full-time, in-person position based in Karachi, Gulshan-E-Iqbal.
