Procurement Officer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to manage the purchasing of veterinary medicines, vaccines, supplements, and other animal healthcare products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing high-quality products at competitive prices, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery to support ongoing operations. This role requires a solid understanding of the veterinary pharmaceutical market and excellent negotiation skills to optimize procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase veterinary medicines, vaccines, supplements, and animal healthcare products to meet organizational needs.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with pharmaceutical suppliers and distributors to secure favorable terms.
- Ensure timely procurement of quality products while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Manage purchase orders, quotations, supplier records, and coordinate inventory to ensure stock availability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to guarantee consistent product availability and service quality.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within the veterinary or pharmaceutical sector.
- Hands-on experience specifically in purchasing veterinary medicines and animal healthcare products.
- Good knowledge of veterinary medicine suppliers, brands, pricing structures, and current market trends.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills to effectively manage supplier relationships and procurement contracts.
