This position requires a dedicated procurement professional responsible for managing all procurement activities in accordance with PPRA Rules and PSDP procedures. The role involves preparing tender documents, conducting bid evaluations, issuing purchase orders, and maintaining a transparent vendor database. The incumbent will collaborate closely with Finance and Administration teams to ensure timely payments and approvals, while ensuring compliance with financial and audit standards. Monitoring supply and delivery schedules to guarantee the timely provision of goods and services is also a key aspect of the role. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for preparing regular procurement status reports to keep stakeholders informed.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct procurement activities strictly following PPRA Rules and PSDP procedures.
- Prepare comprehensive tender documents, evaluate bids, and issue purchase orders.
- Maintain and update vendor databases to ensure transparency and fairness in procurement processes.
- Coordinate with Finance and Administration departments to facilitate timely payments and obtain necessary approvals.
- Ensure compliance with all financial and audit requirements related to procurement.
- Monitor supply and delivery schedules to ensure goods and services are provided on time.
- Prepare and submit procurement status reports to relevant stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (BBA or equivalent) in Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, or related fields.
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in public procurement.
- Experience working with AGPR on public funds is considered an advantage.
- Age limit: Maximum 45 years (including a general age relaxation of five years; no further relaxation applicable).
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information
- Advanced degrees such as MBA or EMBA in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related disciplines are preferred.
- Professional certifications in procurement are an added advantage.
- Candidates with qualifications such as BS Accounting & Finance, BBA (Finance), BBA (Logistics & Supply Chain Management), MBA (Accounting & Finance), MBA (Supply Chain Management), MS Supply Chain Management, MPhil Supply Chain Management, BS Operations and Supply Chain Management, MS Logistics and Supply Chain Management, BS Banking and Finance, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
