Procurement & Source Engineer

The Procurement & Source Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Rawalpindi. This role involves sourcing engineering materials, components, and services that meet project specifications and company standards. The engineer will play a critical role in supplier identification, evaluation, and negotiation to ensure the procurement process aligns with technical and financial requirements. Daily responsibilities include requesting and comparing quotations, negotiating pricing and contract terms, and issuing purchase orders. The role requires close coordination with project, design, and finance teams to guarantee timely delivery and cost-effective procurement. Additionally, the Procurement & Source Engineer will monitor supplier performance, maintain accurate procurement documentation, and contribute to the continuous improvement of sourcing processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to meet project and company requirements.
- Request, review, and compare quotations to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contract conditions with vendors.
- Issue purchase orders and ensure compliance with company procurement policies.
- Collaborate with project, design, and finance teams to align procurement activities with project timelines and budgets.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or service.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the sourcing and procurement processes.

Required Qualifications

- Strong understanding of procurement and sourcing processes within engineering or industrial environments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and bills of materials.
- Proven experience in vendor identification, evaluation, negotiation, and relationship management.
- Competency in cost analysis, budget tracking, and familiarity with contract terms and conditions.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications; experience with ERP or procurement management systems is preferred.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management within an engineering firm is advantageous.
