Okara is an AI-driven Chief Marketing Officer platform that operates a team of specialized agents across essential organic and social channels to drive growth. The company has developed agents focused on SEO, GEO (AI visibility), and organic content creation through AI writing. We are seeking a Product Manager to enhance these agents and improve the outcomes they deliver.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the product roadmap for AI CMO’s agents, expanding into new channels such as influencer marketing, link building, YouTube, and LinkedIn, while continuously improving existing agents like SEO, GEO, writer, Reddit, and X.
- Write concise and clear specifications outlining user problems, agent functionality, guardrails, and criteria for successful output.
- Define and monitor success metrics for each agent, including traffic, citations in AI answers, draft approval rates, activation, and retention, with weekly reviews.
- Collaborate closely with engineers to maintain agent quality by building evaluation sets, reviewing outputs, and addressing issues such as spammy posts, off-brand content, or fabricated information.
- Engage with customers weekly to gather feedback, analyze churn reasons, and prioritize support tickets into actionable product improvements.
- Shape the product’s evolution as it moves upmarket by developing features like team workspaces, user roles, approval workflows, and integrations.
- Lead delivery processes by planning sprints, facilitating standups and retrospectives with a lightweight approach favored by engineers.
- Maintain a single source of truth for ongoing work, ownership, and release timelines.
- Identify and resolve dependencies and blockers early, including those related to model providers, third-party APIs, and platform policies on Reddit, X, and LinkedIn.
- Coordinate product launches with design, growth, and support teams, managing release notes, documentation, changelogs, and launch communications.
- Oversee bug and incident triage, ensuring timely resolution and communication with affected customers.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 6 years of experience in product management, technical program management, or engineering, with at least 2 years focused on shipping software in a startup or fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on experience working with large language model (LLM) products or AI agents, including prompt writing, critical evaluation of model outputs, and understanding of evaluation methods, cost, latency, and failure modes.
- Technical proficiency sufficient to read code, review pull requests, query data using SQL, and actively participate in architecture discussions.
- Strong product judgment with the ability to prioritize shipping smaller, incremental improvements quickly rather than delaying for larger releases.
- Excellent written communication skills, producing clear and concise specifications, updates, and release notes that are well-received by stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous environments with a rapid release cadence, often shipping weekly or faster.
- Daily user of AI tools with a passion for solving distribution challenges for creators and builders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in growth, SEO, content, or community management, or a proven track record of growing a product’s distribution.
- Background in building and launching personal products, side projects, or startups.
- Experience transitioning a self-serve product to serve teams and enterprise customers.
